I am a molecular geneticist working on Small Signaling Peptides in the model legume Medicago truncatula. I investigated the role of the plant hormone Auxin in root nodule symbiosis while completing my doctoral degree at the John Innes Centre in Norwich, UK. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Noble Research Institute, USA, I continue pursuing my interests in regulatory molecules by studying novel peptide hormones with an emphasis on macronutrient regulation of root and nodule development.

I use Molecular biological tools, plant genetics and physiology to understand how legumes acquire Nitrogen from their environment.
